Jack N' Jill's

There are so many delicious brunch options in Santa Monica but Jack N' Jills flew high on our eating radar. One, because it was really close to where we were staying and two, the menu looked delicious. I have a problem, though. Whenever there's pancakes on the menu, I almost always have to order them. It's my breakfast/brunch law of the land. Even if I don't really feel like pancakes, I'll be contemplating another option and then at the last minute blurt out, "blueberry pancakes!" Which is exactly what happened here. They were good, thankfully. Big, thick and stuffed with lots of berries. They weren't my all time favorite but it's almost impossible to pull that off. Especially with Dotti's True Blue Cafe around the corner from my apartment and my mother's homemade recipe in my cookbook.
