This one is truly awful. Whoever picks "art" there have to be fired immediately. I've been to the museum may be 10 times in vain attempts to find anything interesting. It usually displays some ugly garbage claimed to be art because made by native Americans or refuges from some African country. It is one thing to respect different cultures, and another thing to put on artistic pedestal utter rubbish just because it came from some obscure source or politically oppressed group. I give two stars not one only because of the building architecture and occasional decent wine parties they throw in.

As unfortunate as it is, one of the worst museums of contemporary arts in the country. The in-house collections sucks, and so do the occasional exhibitions. The building itself is disappointing as well.

Spot on. I actually like the building and the museum store, but the collection and exhibition are decidedly sub par. Skip it if you are in Chicago

I actually like this Museum (especially when they have exhibitions of the artists I like.) I think building architecture is beautiful plus they have great events like Tuesday on Terrace (you can listen to music on the lawn with wine and food or have dinner on the terrace); also they have nice events for families (on every second Saturday) there are so many different activities for the kids… Some of the performances at the theater are really interesting as well.
