Nice landscaping, large variety of animals, cheap tickets. Don't miss koalas - they are fun to watch!

As much as I'd love to say that The LA Zoo is amazing, it isn't quite so. I went just a few months ago and everything seemed... outdated. The exhibits seem somewhat small for the animals and their food is extremely overpriced. On the good side, the admission price is extremely cheap and its a great place for a family day.

Man, I haven't been to the Los Angeles Zoo in YEARS. I think two to be exact...No, no. More like three. I remember taking my video camera and taking all kinds of arbitrary footage of people at the zoo instead of the animals. Then I jumped into the Giant Tortoise exhibit because those suckers don't mind a photo opp and giving a thumbs up for the camera. Tortoises rule.
