i am surprised, i am the first to review this. Finally another big picture from PTA. Day-Lewis is absolutely astonishing in his character delivery. The character of his priest adversary is actually even more brilliant in the sense of disgust he generates.

This is a masterpiece. Day-Lewis is amazing and the priest guy... ohhh you want to crack his scull... so well played. One of the few instances of well deserved Oscars.

These words sound very familiar. I wonder where did you borrow them?

Day-Lewis is amazing. Great cinematography, and spot-on soundtrack by Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood. Plus - I drink your milkshake!

I Drink Your Milkshake!!! A thunderous performance from our man, Daniel Day-Lewis. Plus, I am a bit partial to any stories that give a bit of history on my hometown. Oh, the sordid history of the Oil Industry...

I DRINK YOUR MILKSHAKE. Daniel Day Lewis is brilliant. The title says it all, as long as you wait, there will be blood!

“If you had a milkshake and I had a straw that stretched acroooooooooooooss the room, I’d DRINK YOUR MILKSHAKE! I’d drink it up!” “There Will Be Blood” really caught me off guard when first I laid eyes upon it. Mainly due to its initial lack of blood. (“It’s about oil not blood,” my viewing buddy reminded me, agitated.) But the film is positively stunning! Not only are the sets fantastic, the barren plains of the Midwest were a perfect backdrop for two fabulous actors. “Gangs of New York’s” Daniel Day Lewis and “Little Miss Sunshine’s” Paul Dano play bitter rivals, a frighteningly zealous preacher and heartless oil tycoon, each alternately disapproving and begging for aid of their enemy. From Upton Sinclair’s “Oil!” comes “There Will Be Blood.” And the moral of the story? Drainage.

I saw this movie on FX two nights ago, I'm sorry but I do no understand this movie AT ALL. I watched it closely and try paying attention to details, but gave up at the part when his long lost brother shows up. Horrible movie for the most part, but seemed very well done. The lead actor did a very very good job I thought.

So I just saw the end of this movie yesterday...Father's Day, of all days. Very clever, FX. Very clever. And no, it's not like I saw most of the movie beforehand at some random point and never caught the end. I simply happened to start watching the last five minutes of the film. That guy is MEAN. I'll never be able to go bowling without thinking of false prophets.
