A definitive 90s cult movie of Pulp Fiction scale - I still think that Coens have not made a better movie since. Now, watch Jeff Bridges in this film and (for a contrast) in, say, White Squall, and tell me the guy should not have received his Oscar a decade ago. Can't tecommend it enough.

Absolutely agree - the Pulp Fiction level masterpiece, and Cohen's best movie.

The best Coen Brothers film. The best Jeff Bridges film. Easily John Goodman's best role. "this is not 'nam Walter, there are rules!" The Dude is the man for his time and place. Every time I watch this movie I love it that much more! Ah fuck it dude, let's go bowling.
