Soviet reply to Cubrick's classic 2001: Space Odyssey came no less of a masterpiece. The 2002 remake by Soderbergh is good too.

My favorite Tarkovsky movie. Ironic that Lem did not approve Tarkovsky interpretation of his novel. It is brilliant. And one of those rare old movies (particularly in sci-fi genre) which looks cool 40 years later.

Very slow, with a boring story line.
