very moving, disturbing, "kick in the nuts" film. it is that sensation of something left unfinished that it leaves you that is probably the most memorable about it.

As one would expect, the superlative Cohens style is there but the dark meaninglessness is just too serious to ignore.

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Darkly disturbing and violent film with compelling performances by Bardem and Brolin.

My God, the bad assery in this movie is so bad ass. Even though the main protagonist and antagonist never actually (WARNING: totally gonna ruin this movie for you right here and now) meet up to share tea and crumpets while rampaging llamas tear down the Eiffel tower, it's still well worth the sit down. I forget how long it is, but c'mon! Coen! Jones! No boobs. Sad face.

Phenomenal movie. Javier Bardem totally transforms himself into the creepiest serial killer and just terrifies you. Gorgeous cinematography.

Perhaps my favorite Coen movie yet. The tone of its bleak landscape was just the right flavor for me. The brothers gave me everything I could want in a movie, from gorgeous cinematography, excellent portrayals of hyperbolic gangster cliche, and even acknowledging their regular fans with their traditional gags and themes. God, why couldn't they have done The Road?

No Country For Old Men is one of the quietest action/suspense movies I've ever seen. Every scene is so nonchalant yet manages to be riveting. There are moments of sheer badassery without all the screams and muscle-pumping. A pretty cool movie for not really having a nice and neat ending.
