Although not a big fan of Tarantino’s explicitly brutal scenes, I really enjoyed this movie. I loved his black humour, the twists in the story and the music. Christopher Waltz ,the “Jews Hunter”, was simply amazing.

Agree, Natalie, it's a quality work, but somehow the earlier Tarantino was a bit more exciting at the time. Maybe I just got used to him...

I'm more of an earlier Tarantino fan (Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction), still, this was good. Not amazing, great Tarantino, but solid. Christoph Waltz - absolutely incredible. Didn't even notice it was two an a half hours long.

You should send out a warning - 3 strikes you're out type :) So that if our ratings drastically vary, it will automatically kick me off as an expert :)

I expected more from QT. Christoph Waltz's performance is one of very few things I liked in this movie.

One great performance of Christopher Waltz is not enough to cement this otherwise overly pretentious and poorly paced movie. Is Tatantino loosing his touch?

Bravo! Tarantino is still at his best. The movie is done so perfectly, every single scene is a piece of art. Even though it is quite different from the other Tarantino's movies, the style and touch is easily recognizable.

very hurried even bungled ending, but otherwise a very powerful film. the dialogues are well written, live and hilarious. Waltz is brilliant. Top mark to Pitt as well.

There were a lot of things I liked about this movie (terrible Italian accents, shoot-outs, burning Nazis, etc) but it just didn't add up. Brad Pitt and Eli Roth were amazing but they only almost made up for the drawn-out script and an ending that did not leave you feeling satiated.

Inglorious Basterds will go down in history as one of Tarantino's best! It is on par with films like Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill. Brad Pitt does a phenomenal job as Aldo the Apache. This movie is action packed and full of good whole hearted nazi extermination. The only thing that disappointed me was that there was no quirky Tarantino cameo, but overall a must see for any film fanatic.

Totally just watched the first half of Inglorious Basterds. Pretty awesome guys. Best thing about this movie so far? I don't know. A lot of the characters have gigantic egos. "Hello. Do you know who I am? Yeah, yeah you do. C'mon, now, say my name. Tell me what I want to hear. I kill Nazis? Yeah, that's me." BASEBALL BAT TO THE HEAD!...who does a review of half a movie?...

Weird accent spoken. The plot is so-so. I didn't like the movie a bit.

I dug this movie. A whole bunch. That said, whoever said this was Tarantino's best has been snorting gunpowder again. But don't get me wrong, it's the goods. And a lil something different from the ole QT. Totally worth watching. Twice.
