It took me several years to appreciate this film, because when it was released, I was too young to endure all the dialogue going on. But this is definitely a classic film, one that has drama, comedy and a little bit of action in it, set on an amazing decade that is sure to tug the hearts of anyone from any generation. This is the film where Tom Hanks's acting has a set a standard of excellence for how to play a character in film.
