Brutally sobering like a punch in the face. "Things that you own end up owning you".

Really good... and this is coming from a person who doesn't normally enjoy seeing faces smashed to a bloody pulp.

Hey, I am amazed and pleasantly surprised you liked it... Remind me what was wrong with much more cartoonish Sin City? :)

Outstanding. Paced to perfection. Great performances by both Norton and Pitt.

what about H.B. Carter's performance, you one raging sexist? she had to balance between the 2 and she came out on top.

Pure genius...a roller coaster ride of excitement, surprise, and violence. Palahniuk's really nailed the essence of some serious problems with American culture. Brad Pitt and Ed Norton are brilliant and Helena Bonham Carter is perfection...as always.

An oldie-but-goodie, Fight Club, based on Chuck Palahniuk’s creative and original thriller will keep anyone watching from comical start to explosive finish—and all the grizzly, meaty, bloody bits in between. The film follows (from the final scene, backwards) a young Ikea consumer plagued by insomnia (nameless from novel to production but portrayed by the wonderful Edward Norton), his addiction to various support groups, and a couple of new friends. Marla, the psychotic and suicidal girl who he wouldn’t mind murdering with his bare hands and Tyler Durden, a waiter/film reel changer who spends his spare time making soap from human fat stolen from liposuctions and sold in department stores for twenty bucks a bar. Despite its seemingly thoughtless premise, a group of men that beat each other senseless once a week, Fight Club encounters deep themes including psychosis, consumerism, and the removal of testes.

Because of this movie, chuck palanuik became a favorite author of mine. Edward norton and brad pit made a good performance. it was comedic and it was also very dark at the same time. I just was not too thrilled with the ending of the movie. everything is good, except how different the ending of the moie was with the book.
