Osha Thai

Mengfei He: The interior design is cool and the service is pretty good. But the food is so-so. I probably would go with other restaurants in that area.

Sai Jai Thai Restaurant

Julia Gleason: I've had much better Thai food but the you get what you pay for at Sai Jai. The prices are cheap! Which I suppose is definitely not a bad thing if you're looking to save on moolah. The vegetarian pad Thai tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp. The fried rice was good but nothing compared to Osha's pineapple fried rice. The coconut soup was probably the best part of the meal but even that, I've had better elsewhere. If you're looking for quality then hit up Bang San right next door. If you're looking for slightly cheaper food while understanding it won't be quite as good, Sai Jai is your joint.

Ozone Thai Restaurant
Benjarong Thai Cuisine
King of Thai

Julia Gleason: I felt like some sort of udon noddle soup last night and remembered that I had come to King of Thai before for something similar. So I dragged my boyfriend over to Union Square and took a seat at a four top; a table that moments later, the hostess would seat a man literally right next to me. Now, I know that a lot of restaurants in SF do this sort of thing but my ONLY request is that they let us know. Sometimes I want a private conversation. Sometimes I don't feel like eating right next to a complete stranger. And sometimes I don't care in the slightest. Last night, it bothered me. The food was, eh. The pork in my soup was okay but the wontons tasted weird (I don't think it was a coincidence that I got sick afterwards). After I was finished I said I wanted my soup to go. Instead of doing it for us, they brought over a soup container and plastic bag and left us to it. Well, if anyone has ever experienced trying to pour a huge bowl of soup in to a tiny container, you know what happens. It spilled everywhere; we literally had to spoon it in, scoop by scoop. This place SUCKS.
