Julia Gleason: It pains me to give Lahore four stars because they really deserve three. I'm typically a pretty honest (and sometimes brutal) reviewer but I'm going to be a little lenient today because their food is so. damn. good. Do not come to Lahore Karahi if you're expecting good service and short waits. You will be extremely disappointed, not to mention frustrated out of your mind. They have about 3 people running the joint and they do everything and when I say everything I mean EVERYTHING. They cook, bus tables, seat, take orders, serve food and ring up. It's a small joint but regardless, as you can imagine, they're stretched pretty thin. They get to you when they get to you and that's just how it goes. Don't be surprised if you get sat but then wait 20 minutes to give your order. Don't be surprised if they forget to bring you something. Don't be surprised if they don't offer you water. Don't be surprised at any of that. Embrace it for what it is and enjoy their delicious Indian food...seriously, probably the best of its kind in SF.
Julia Gleason: Not bad, not bad...but not as good as Lahore! Chutney has a great selection of Indian/Pakistani food with lots of seating and quick service. The sauces were delicious and the potato naan was probably my favorite part of the whole meal. The meat was terrible, though! The lamb was so tough it was hard to swallow and the chicken was really dry. I'd definitely give it another try but I wouldn't order any lamb. There were a few fried rice dishes being brought out that looked delicious. I may just have to order mounds of that potato bread for some carb overload!
