Yo's Sushi Club

Mengfei He: Great decor , very classy! It's great having music performances. The sushi was good too.

Ozumo

Mengfei He: Great view of the bay at night. The bar area is very chic. Try the soup items, thumbs up!

Katana-ya Restaurant

Julia Gleason: I've been hearing rave reviews about Katana-ya ever since I moved to the Loin. People would say to me, "You have to try their ramen!" Every time I attempted to eat there, though, there were hoards of people waiting outside waiting to get in. Today, instead of dinner we decided to give it a go for lunch. Lucky for us there was virtually no wait! Since I had a bit of a tum bug I decided to go light with the udon noodle soup. It had green onions, chicken, fat udon noodles, and was finished with a tempura crunch. The boyfriend had the regular miso ramen. When they first put it in front of him we both recoiled a tad because it smelled like a petting zoo! Thank God that wasn't indicative of how it tasted because it was delicious. For a little extra fun we ordered the fried rice as a side and no joke, it was probably the best fried rice I've ever had. We both agreed that we could see how everyone loves this place. There will be many more visits in the near future if we can avoid that line.

Yoshi's Jazz Club & Japanese Restaurant

Briana Hernandez: Ridiculously priced and not even that great of sushi, Yoshi's in SF might be a pretty posh spot for some but definitely not all. The only thing I appreciated about this place was the cheap, conveniently located parking and certainly not our snotty host or the fact that the kitchen closed at 9 pm.
