Julia Gleason: I love Dosa. I love everything from it's swanky interior to it's amazing friggin' food and drinks. I haven't tried anything here that I haven't liked. The cocktails are unique; you definitely can't find anything like it elsewhere. As far as Indian food goes, I'm generally not a huge fan but if it's Dosa my whole attitude shifts. They have this absolutely massive bread that they bring hot out of the oven. After it's placed safely in front of your greedy fingers you poke it and hot air spews out, deflating it in to this delicious mound of dough. Another plus is that Dosa is right next door to the Kabuki Cinema so it's perfect for getting your drink and eat on before your movie date night.
Julia Gleason: It was a rare 90 degree day in San Francisco and after a leisurely dinner in Dolores Park, our group of friends decided that we needed a cold tasty treat. The line for Bi-Rite was solid and around the block; there was no way we were waiting in that line. Slightly dejected but still determined, we decided to give Bombay Ice Creamery a go since it was on the beaten path home. When we walked in a thick blanket of heat hit our bodies and I wasn't sure how any amount of ice cream would ever survive... but it did and there was LOTS of it. There were some very unique flavors and after much deliberation, I settled on root beer (although watermelon was right up there). It was refreshing and reminded me of my child hood; my root beer float-swigging days.
