Janie Liu: I love French food. This is a great french food restaurant! You have to try the more traditional dishes =)
Mengfei He: Come for the music, stay for the atmosphere and leave with the taste of the best cuisine in the city. I would highly recommend. Always surprised by the variety of entrees you can choose from.
Julia Gleason: After years of using Open Table and spending thousands of dollars on eating out, it paid off last night while dining at Bisou. Cashing in my 10,000 OT points, I received a $100 dining cheque to use at any of their restaurants. Bisou was the perfect choice. The food was absolutely divine. The frisee salad with poached egg and pancetta was hands down one of the best salads I've ever had in my life. I couldn't keep my frantic fork from stabbing every last bit! The egg was crispy fried but when poked, was soft and perfectly cooked. The onion soup tasted as if it had been cooking for hours, the aromas and flavors were so pungent. The three cheese souffle and beef bourguignon were the best choices for entrees. The souffle's consistency was perfection and you could taste the simmered red wine in the beef. Both were amazing. We finished it off with their "After Height" dessert which was a mint/dark chocolate pastry or cake of sorts. Spencer and I joked that it reminded us of Ande's mints except a million times better; it's what Ande's mints spend an entire lifetime aspiring to be. We were greeted with a handshake and two kisses on the cheek and left with happy, happy tums. I saved the best for last, our total bill was just under $100 for three appetizers, two cocktails, two entrees and one dessert! For a beautiful meal you can't get much better than that.
Mengfei He: 5th Flr is a great experience. <3 the decor - it's so simple but chic. Food was great, will recommend!
Julia Gleason: I had never heard of Rue Saint Jacques before last weekend. I write for a magazine called, Asterisk, and they had a last minute article they wanted written. Being the foodie that I am I volunteered and as a result, enjoyed a lovely French meal compliments of the mag. I put my food writer cap on and began to jot down my experience. Rue Saint Jacques is a small neighborhood restaurant that makes you feel like you're in the comfort of your own home or a friend's dining room. It's not fancy French food; it's earthy, farm fresh and natural tasting. None of the dishes are masked by any heavy sauces of spices. The veggie couscous was divine. I imagine that it's what biting in to a cloud would taste like. It was fluffy, light and topped with so many crisp veggies I didn't know where to start. The butternut squash soup with a creme fraiche floater was also a highlight. Service was attentive but not fussy. I'd love to come back for their early bird special, three course meal for $25 if you come between 5:30-6:30PM.
