Chris Burden piece adjacent, not to mention the tar pits of the far off land of La Brea, it's an educational spot and houses one of the US's more prominent collections of contemporary art. anna andreyeva: The museum reminded me of some long forgotten museum visiting when I was a child...Dinosaur skeletons, animal bones, learning a little bit about evolution :))) Oh...and all those representations of animal habitats :) And my favorite section - rocks and minerals!!! Great way to escape the heat, for a lazy afternoon stroll...There are several other museums in the area, in case you get sick of natural history too quickly. And this definitely is a place to go with kids!
