anna andreyeva: The towers show up out of nowhere, in the middle of a very shady neighborhood. They don't seem impressive from afar, but up close every piece of the structure is covered with bright & colourful tiles & glass that shine in the sun. The $7 tour is worthwhile because the guide takes you upclose to the towers & provides some infomration on the inspiring story of their origin.

anna andreyeva: A piece of los Angeles history, that carries you down from Bunker Hill in downtown. There us nothing special to riding a funicular nowadays, but its definitely a worthwhile entertainment for 50 cents ;)

anna andreyeva: The museum reminded me of some long forgotten museum visiting when I was a child...Dinosaur skeletons, animal bones, learning a little bit about evolution :))) Oh...and all those representations of animal habitats :) And my favorite section - rocks and minerals!!! Great way to escape the heat, for a lazy afternoon stroll...There are several other museums in the area, in case you get sick of natural history too quickly. And this definitely is a place to go with kids!
