RE Tapas

Ok Chun: RE Tapas is not one of those memorable places that make you whining to go back for more. The decor reminds me of upscale lounges in San Francisco, open spaces with dim lighting against a sultry background. The prices were decent for a tapas places with wide variety to choice from; drink menu was fairly priced with nothing that stood out. The staff was friendly and attentive though, which I liked. Our server, which also happened to be the host at the time, was fairly knowledgeable on their menu and drinks. He also made several suggestions for starters which were actually good. The tiny Kobe Sliders were excellent along with a salad that I can't remember, I guess if I can't remember the name it wasn't as good as I though huh? The only complaint was the margarita he suggested we try, mango...which tasted like over-ripe mangoes that have been sitting in the hot sun for a few days. Not the most pleasant drink I've tried, do not get. Overall, I would not go back to this place for any reason, once was enough. Unfortunately for the friendly staff of RE Tapas, they closed; in it's place is CR Buns now.
