Green Tea Japanese Restaurant

Darina Denkova: I've eaten some of my best and some of my not-so-best sushi there... But overall, would recommend. Get there early - they don't take reservations.

Sushi Wabi

Sergey Pak: the place is still holding its ground. its top entree tuna and asparagus is really good. Uni (sea urchin) hand roll is always fresh and tasty. but the rest is not above average.

Toro Sushi

Alex Pavlovitch: Totally over hyped place. Just because they have real wasabi and over the top complex rolls does not make them qualify for a great sushi joint. Fish is mediocre to say the best. Never order sushi or sashimi there. Rice is not properly cooked—no light sweetness, no subtle vinegary taste and it's cold!

Mirai Sushi

Alex Pavlovitch: Uninspiring. Mirai does not deserve the hype. Although fish quality is pretty good, there are number of sushi joints in Chicago with better nigiri and rolls. To me, rice is almost as important as fish. It has to be slightly warm, a bit vinegary with a touch of sweetness. Here you just get cold slabs as if they were sitting in the kitchen for a day waiting for some industrial application. Service is also pretty mediocre and slow. Overall, not a bad place to check out if you are in the neighborhood, but not worth a dedicated ride to Wicker park.

Sushi O Sushi

Galin Muradyan: This sushi place is grrrreat! This place is known for sake bombs...lots of youngsters have their birthday/other occasions to drink parties here! It's in the heart of Lincoln Park, so the location makes this place even more appealing. They have unlimited sushi and sake for $45 including tip and tax - now that's a DEAL! The service is great...it's a small place so they give you a lot of attention - including a special thanks from the chef himself! Would highly recommend for sushi lovers (also recommend making reservations especially on weekends, this place is small and gets packed quickly!)
