Museum Of Contemporary Art

Nina Lediaeva: I actually like this Museum (especially when they have exhibitions of the artists I like.) I think building architecture is beautiful plus they have great events like Tuesday on Terrace (you can listen to music on the lawn with wine and food or have dinner on the terrace); also they have nice events for families (on every second Saturday) there are so many different activities for the kids… Some of the performances at the theater are really interesting as well.

Lincoln Park Zoo

Alla Kushner: It's small when compared to Brookfield, but free and good enough for a stroll on a nice afternoon. They close pretty early though (around 5 p.m.) so most people end up going on the weekend, when it's way too crowded.

The Modern Wing - Art Institute of Chicago

Marina Golubova: Spacious, modern and functional, the Modern Wing makes great use of natural light in exhibition areas - a rarity in art museums. With the wing's opening in 2009, The Art Institute greatly expanded display of its Modern and Contemporary Art collection. However, the actual exhibition space is smaller than one might expect looking at the new wing from the outside - the central atrium makes for a grand first impression but takes up too much of a precious footprint.
