Shane Sullivan: The Boston Public Library is one of the country's best. You can find books from pretty much any era on pretty much any topic. Although from the outside the BPL's Copley Branch may not be the most attractive building, the inside makes up for all that with marble staircases and an indoor courtyard in the new building, as well as in outdoor courtyard in the older building.
