there's a monument in the park. It's a Polish King riding a horse. i don't remember where exactly it is situated. when i saw it last time there was a 3 person band playing Polish folk music next to the monument. can anyone tell me where I can find it again?

Aside from all the obvious activities, you can pretty much do anything in Central Park. There's a beach volleyball court, multiple baseball and soccer fields. The bike loop around the park is an amazing 16 minute race, or a nice 25 minute ride.. And there are even boulders where people go to do real, challenging rock climbing. You can paddle in the pond, or feed the swans. The possibilities are endless! It does get crowded on the weekends; but that's a relative term in comparison how crowded NYC normally is!

Yes, there's really big choice of activities but you'd better keep off its farther part if you do skating and you're not good at it;)
